Rev. Piper Cartland has been joyfully serving as ERPC’s pastor since 2002. She grew up in Southern California and is a graduate of Fuller Theological Seminary. Prior to moving to Alaska in 1998, Piper’s primary ministry was with children and families. Piper’s husband Paul is a retired Naval Officer and now works in Health Information Technology consulting. Their three children are grown: Connor, his wife Katy, grandson Colin, Cameron, and Christa. During Paul’s Navy career the Cartland family lived on both coasts and at a Navy base in Sardinia, Italy, where they all learned to love traveling and Italian food. Besides her family, Piper loves Italian cooking, Mariners baseball, traveling and wine-tasting with Paul, and long walks with their Newfoundland Murphy.
