Rev. Piper Cartland has been joyfully serving as ERPC’s pastor since 2002. She grew up in Southern California and is a graduate of Fuller Theological Seminary. Prior to moving to Alaska in 1998, Piper’s primary ministry was with children and families. Piper’s husband Paul is a retired Naval Officer and now works in Health Information Technology consulting. Their oldest son Connor lives in Houston TX with his wife Katy, and children Colin and Charlotte. Their son Cameron lives in Anchorage with his wife Cassie, step-son Jackson and son Anders. Their daughter Christa lives in Anchorage with her husband Mike. During Paul’s Navy career the Cartland family lived on both coasts and at a Navy base in Sardinia, Italy, where they all learned to love traveling and Italian food. Besides her family, Piper loves Italian cooking, Mariners baseball, traveling and wine-tasting with Paul, and long walks with their Newfoundlands Murphy and Elly.
